Factories and industry: hydraulics that last
Presses and hydraulic systems in 24/7 operation wear out valves and pumps when the oil carries particles, water and varnish. An offline filter cleans the oil continuously while the machine produces.
Where the failures come from
Servo valves and pumps have tight tolerances. Fine particles, water and degradation products from the oil lodge in them, and varnish deposits on the valve surfaces. The result is sticking valves and pumps that wear out early.
In a production hall, part of the contamination comes from outside: dust and fibres from production find their way into the tank.
Why the system filter is not enough
The machine's own filter protects the components against coarse particles during operation. The finest particles, the water and the varnish stay in the oil, and an oil change only removes the problem until next time.
An offline filter runs in a kidney loop alongside the system filter and cleans the entire oil volume again and again, without stopping the machine.
Cleaned in a kidney loop while the machine runs
A Delta Xero system is connected to the hydraulic tank. The oil is pumped from the tank bottom through the cartridge and back. Particles down to 0.1 µm, free and emulsified water and sludge stay in the cartridge.
Documented on real installations
At Stadco, the hydraulic presses had at least one valve failure a week. Two years after offline filtration was installed, there has not been a single one, and the number of particles above 4 µm fell by 95%.
Try it on your own machine
We are happy to start with an oil sample. Then the numbers decide whether there is a problem, and the pilot programme shows the effect with samples before and after.
