Cranes: clean hydraulics and clean diesel in the tank

A crane that stands still stops more than itself. Particles and water in the hydraulic oil are a classic cause of pump and valve failures, and the diesel in the crane tank ages long before it is used up.

Hydraulics: the filter runs while the crane works

A Delta Xero system is connected to the hydraulic tank in a kidney loop and cleans the oil continuously: particles down to 0.1 µm, free and emulsified water, and the sludge that turns into varnish in the system. The crane's own filters and operation are unchanged.

Diesel in the crane tank

Harbour cranes and mobile cranes have their own diesel tanks, which often stand half full for long periods. Condensation leaves water at the bottom, and diesel bug grows at the interface between water and diesel. In a British port, the diesel in the harbour cranes' tanks is cleaned continuously with Delta Xero while the cranes are in operation.

Proven on cranes

Delta Xero runs on harbour cranes in British ports, including Gottwald and Terex cranes, and on crane applications in Chile, Brazil and at Stena Drilling.

The effect can be measured

On a hydraulic press with recurring valve failures, two years passed without a single failure after the installation. The case study is listed with name and figures under case studies.
